Make mini jack-o’-lanterns from grapefruits!
pen or felt-tip marker
melon baller or grapefruit spoon
tea light candles or battery-powered votives
Draw a face onto the side of the grapefruit (a pen or felt-tip marker works best). Carefully slice of the top of the grapefruit. Scoop out the contents with a melon baller or grapefruit spoon, using a knife to cut the fruit away from the sides of the grapefruit.
Using a sharp paring knife, cut out the features of the jack-o’-lantern.
Set a tea light candle or batter-powered votive inside the grapefruit. Arrange the jack-o’-lanterns on a mantel or and outdoor table.
